The Python Tutorial

Today, I entered the world of python and started learning through python’s tutorial from its documentation. I am familiar with JavaScript and C++. So, it was easier for me to learn the concepts of Python. I just went through the basic syntax and how they are used. However, I am still not getting used to using indentation to separate code blocks.

What I learnt today:

• Python’s control flow tools like if statements, for statements, range(). How match statement works
• Data structures in python like Lists, sets, dictionaries
• Basic syntax for errors and exceptions handling
• Classes and instance method (basically constructors in oop)
• learnt few standard libraries like os interface modules, dates and times modules, string pattern matching using regex.
